I’ll be the first to admit, the forecast for today didn’t have me worried for a second.

Although being a wedding photographer in Newfoundland you sometimes have to deal with unexpected weather, I knew it would have taken much worse than 30+cm of snow with high winds to have held up this marriage!

After 12 years together, Lisa and Doug braved a fierce Newfoundland spring storm to tie the knot!

This is much much more than I usually would post in a SneakPeek – but what could I have left out??

We are so lucky to have met Sean and Denise. They are a truly beautiful couple.

I had such a difficult time choosing what photos to post out of the over 600 photos that they received. Every moment was laughs, happiness, and special.

They were already featured on the blog in the entry A Moment in Time — Denise and Sean – but there were so many incredible photos from their day, they deserved a full entry. The excitement of the day comes through in every photo. This is the type of day that energizes my love for what I do! We started bright and early, and ended late in the evening, but didn’t feel tired for a second..

If there was any couple that the term “happily married” was created for, it’s Sean and Denise, as you’ll see!

Johnathon and I rarely, if ever, get out by ourselves. We usually have Nate in tow, are running errands, or meeting clients. Even an evening watching tv together is spent multitasking. Every so often, we look at each other and realize how much we miss each other! After we got the website up and running, we had one of these moments, and I noticed how long it had been since we got out together – just us. No business, no school, no kid, nothing but one on one quality time together.

Saturday night we had our first date night in about six months. While it makes us appreciate how special and precious our time together is, I’m not ever letting it go that long again.

I even got roses! How lucky am I –  I found someone who can deal with my ever present need to have my camera snapping, even during our dedicated downtime!
