Although being a wedding photographer in Newfoundland you sometimes have to deal with unexpected weather, I knew it would have taken much worse than 30+cm of snow with high winds to have held up this marriage!

After 12 years together, Lisa and Doug braved a fierce Newfoundland spring storm to tie the knot!

This is much much more than I usually would post in a SneakPeek – but what could I have left out??

Think the bride was breathtaking? Doug’s expression says it all.

I think the dance the bride surprised her lifelong best friend with was one of everyone’s favorite parts of today.

High school sweethearts – Shawn and Crystal had been together for 10 years before tying the knot!
We were lucky enough to be there for every moment of the long awaited day.

Aren’t they the most beautiful family?

David melted my heart when he asked me to take a picture of him and his mom. :) Could he be sweeter??

Nicolas on the other hand, wanted nothing other than to play with his toy truck. Hilarious!

I would have taken her home with me if her parents had taken their eyes off of her! So precious!

They are a truly beautiful couple.

I had such a difficult time choosing what photos to post out of the over 600 photos that they received. Every moment was laughs, happiness, and special.

They were already featured on the blog in the entry A Moment in Time — Denise and Sean – but there were so many incredible photos from their day, they deserved a full entry. The excitement of the day comes through in every photo. This is the type of day that energizes my love for what I do! We started bright and early, and ended late in the evening, but didn’t feel tired for a second..

If there was any couple that the term “happily married” was created for, it’s Sean and Denise, as you’ll see!

Tell me this woman isn’t Marilyn reincarnated!

Yep, she made me tear up too. Such a beautiful bride!

Excited! Nervous!

So so happy!

We usually have Nate in tow, are running errands, or meeting clients. Even an evening watching tv together is spent multitasking. Every so often, we look at each other and realize how much we miss each other! After we got the website up and running, we had one of these moments, and I noticed how long it had been since we got out together – just us. No business, no school, no kid, nothing but one on one quality time together.

Saturday night we had our first date night in about six months. While it makes us appreciate how special and precious our time together is, I’m not ever letting it go that long again.

I even got roses! How lucky am I –  I found someone who can deal with my ever present need to have my camera snapping, even during our dedicated downtime!
