Here in Newfoundland, we get such a short window of nice weather. But we had the most amazing summer! Beach bonfires, playground visits, hikes, swimming, water fights, crafts, softball, movies, lots of reading and learning, and as you’ll see below, a couple of visits from the tooth fairy! There was a minimal amount of tv or video games, which was exactly what I wanted! More play, less screen time! I’m so proud of how much better of a reader he’s gotten to be, and how he can do math problems with ease. He’s hit the ground running for grade three!
I found it really difficult to send him back to school this week – the house is so quiet without him! But he was so excited to see his friends again, and meet his new teacher. After school on his first day, we took him to Bowring Park for a few pictures!
His new leather coat is his favourite back to school purchase! When we opened the package, he told me it was his motorcycle coat, AND his ninth Doctor’s jacket. (He’s a little Doctor Who obsessed!)
